Dear CAPASUS members and families,
Happy Thanksgiving! It is hard to believe that it has been over 3 months since the end of the successful 2019 CAPASUS annual conference. We had organized the first staff meeting at Alice Stanley’s house on October 6 where we discussed the topic of the annual meeting next year — A Connected World : 5G, WiFi 6, Space based communication and Cybersecurity. We also published and printed of the beautiful CAPASUS Journal 2019 for all of the members and the authors. Since then there were several events co-sponsored by CAPASUS such as 1) MJSE Annual Conference on Nov 2, 2) Fall Hiking at Gibbs Garden with TaiDa Alumi on Nov 10, 3) TSA Olympic at GSU on Nov 16 and finally 4) Taipei Symphony Orchestra performance on Nov 17. We also have a wonderful news to announce: our chairwoman of VP nomination committee Dr. Chuchu Wu is expecting a baby girl in March 2020. Let’s give her our congratulations for the new addition to the Wu family. It takes a huge courage and a village to raise a child as most of our members have experienced. Let us take it as our calling and redouble our efforts to build a new CAPASUS that will continue strong even after this baby enters college.
We are still looking for a head of Secretary and a VP Candidate at this time. Please keep these two key positions on your mind if you would volunteer or would recommend potential candidates to me and Catherine. On the eve of the Thanksgiving day 2019, I would like to express my deep appreciation to all of the current staff members for your altruistic contributions to CAPASUS and calling for all of our valuable members to continue to support these volunteers to fulfill their mission. I am sure the future of the CAPASUS family will be bright and sustainable.
